Youth Activities with Gladstone Midday Rotarian Mentors

Interact operates at most high schools throughout the Gladstone Region. The Gladstone Midday Rotarian Mentors – Kath Thomson, Pauline Porch, Helen Evans, and Dave Manttan offer their insights, skills and knowledge to foster citizenship values in our younger generations.

Mt Larcom Interact meets at the school library once a fortnight to discuss ways of raising money for purchases that will be of value to both their current schoolmates and for emerging students at Mt Larcom State Secondary School.

Rotakids is a grass roots program designed to foster interest in the citizenship within their school, as well as developing a curiosity about the world our children live in. Clinton Rotakids meet at a designated room once a fortnight to discuss ideas about what might need to be enhanced to aid their own learning and to add value to their co-learners within the environment of the Clinton State School. Chris Coleborn utilizes her vast knowledge and skills at educating younger children to create this valuable life-long learning skill.

Mt Larcom Interact Club with Kath Thomson as Mentor, and Pres 22-23: Rod Kamholtz as Sponsor. Ongoing interest is being developed this year.

Rotary Gladstone Midday acknowledges the Traditional Owners of Country throughout Australia. We pay our respects to Elders past and present.
